Cut Your College Costs

~  Mark Lengel, CCPS  ~

As a Certified College Planner, Mark Lengel is committed to helping make college an affordable reality.  Families are given the resources necessary to lower their out-of-pocket college expenses, maximize their eligibility for Financial Aid and increase the opportunity of admission to the college of their choice.

Prior to entering the financial planning field in 1998, Mark spent over twenty years in education himself.  He was a music teacher and was intimately aware of the challenges families were facing about funding higher education.  Now Mark's way of giving back to the community is to educate families and help them make sound financial decisions.

The National Institute of Certified College Planners restricts the CCPS designation to financial planners, CPAs, attorneys and other higher education professionals that assist families in preparing for the financial cost of sending children to college.  The organization provides educational resources and support to CCPS candidates and designees, including training and testing in the areas of saving and paying for college, as well as advanced college funding strategies.

The mission of the NICCP is to advance the principles of financial planning for higher education by providing recognition and support to those experienced financial professionals who devote a large portion of their practices to helping families plan financially for college.  There are fewer than 500 Certified College Planning Specialists in the country.
